Mike D. Batra

With over 20 years of practical experience (including as a director of Indian companies and German and European subsidiaries in India), the co-founder and managing director of the management consultancy Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH is one of the experts with the longest experience in German-speaking India business.

He studied International Business at Maastricht University and the Stern School of Business, New York (NYU) as well as Political Economy for South Asia at the School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS), London. His areas of specialization included strategy and finance as well as corporate governance in emerging markets, with a special focus on India.

As a cosmopolitan with work experience in France, Israel, China, India and with an extensive international network, Mike D. Batra has been active in an intercultural and multinational context since the beginning of his career. He is also a passionate traveler in his spare time and has visited more than 150 countries.

Mike D. Batra has been Thuringia International’s foreign representative for India since 2016 and is an important contact for Thuringian companies and ministries in this role.
